The Swiss Life Group has taken another step towards the full implementation of its strategy, the concentration on life business in its core markets.
The Swiss Life Group has taken another step towards the full implementation of its strategy, the concentration on life business in its core markets. The integration of the life operations of its subsidiary «La Suisse», the merging of the sales organisations of both companies and the concentration on the Swiss Life brand in Switzerland will reinforce Swiss Life leading position in the life insurance market.

All other «La Suisse» operations will be divested: «La Suisse»'s property and liability lines will be sold to Vaudoise in return for acquiring Vaudoise's group life business. «La Suisse»'s short-term disability and accident insurance business will be sold to Helsana. Swiss Life will enter into distribution and sales cooperation agreements with both Vaudoise and Helsana. The sales and portfolio transfers currently await approval from the authorities.

Helsana to become new Swiss Life Network Partner in Switzerland
After approval of the deal by the authorities, the Swiss Life Network will continue being represented in the Swiss non-life market by Helsana, the leading health insurer in Switzerland. Helsana will provide group short-term disability and accident insurance for the Swiss Life Network in Switzerland.
