Three years ago, Swiss Life Network HQ in Zurich established a small unit dedicated to providing services to the international broker and consultant community. As is clear from the photo, it’s a very compact unit indeed, comprising just three members: Werner Leiser, head of the team, who brings 20 years of international experience to the position; Reto Heini, who worked for many years on "the other side of the fence", i.e. for international brokers and consultants in various countries; and Irma Staeubli, who provides competent support to our unit "and keeps the boys in line".
What are our aims?
Our goal is to establish the Swiss Life Network as the preferred provider among the top international brokers and consultants for employee benefit solutions worldwide.
To achieve this we focus on maintaining a competence center for international brokers and consultants for all questions relating to employee benefits on an international scale: pooling, TCN and expatriate solutions, international medical plans, and captive solutions.
We also work to support the sales efforts of our Network Partners to ensure that they are, and remain, on the shortlists of the local offices of globally-active brokers and consultants.

- a consistent message from the Swiss Life Network
- professional and reliable information.
Assisting clients through their brokers and consultants
Since 2002 we have participated in around 70 pooling studies. While we were not always selected as the preferred network, we are proud to say that Swiss Life was the chosen network in a majority of cases. And we are equally proud to have delivered each and every one of the pooling studies within the required time-frame.
In addition, we have successfully negotiated service standards for several multinational clients with their international brokers and consultants; established network-wide tables for such diverse topics as Aids/HIV policies, war risks and terrorism cover, single event coverage limitations, etc.; and helped set up TCN/expatriate and international medical plans for a number of large companies.
We are the contact point at the Swiss Life Network Head Office for all questions and issues concerning some two dozen broker-managed pools.
