With its presence in Liechtenstein and Luxembourg, Swiss Life is excellently positioned in the rapidly growing global market for private placement life insurance.

Swiss Life opened a branch office in Singapore in March 2008 in order to boost its marketing strength in the fast-growing Asian market.
Flexible products with variable guarantees
From its central product platform in Luxembourg, Swiss Life plans to distribute flexible products with variable guarantees (variable annuities) in various countries. These products offer customers an ideal combination of traditional insurance and modern investment products.
Opening up new markets
Due to changes in the regulatory framework within the EU, it is now possible to offer cross-border life and pension solutions. In order to fully seize these new business opportunities in the area of employee benefit solutions for international corporations, the Swiss Life Network and its existing corporate business in Luxembourg was merged into the Corporate Solutions business unit.

Moreover, Swiss Life intends to exploit opportunities for inorganic growth in its existing markets through targeted acquisitions. New markets will be entered mainly via joint ventures and partnerships.
