Standard & Poor’s upgrades rating for Swiss Life Ltd

21.05.2015

The rating agency Standard & Poor’s (S&P) has raised Swiss Life's rating from "A-" with positive outlook to "A" with stable outlook.

The rating agency Standard & Poor's cited Swiss Life's sustainable, strong capitalisation and earnings as rationale for the rating upgrade. Additional key factors were its positive assessment of the continued strong profitability and risk management. Patrick Frost, Group CEO: "We have succeeded in strengthening our market position and profitability even in the persistent low interest environment. This rating upgrade is an acknowledgement of our disciplined implementation of the Group-wide programme 'Swiss Life 2015', our strengthening of capitalisation and continuous operational improvements."
