Mit der erfolgreichen Kapitalerhöhung fliessen brutto CHF 1,106 Milliarden in die Kassen der Swiss Life Holding. Durch die Ausgabe von 10'839'704 Aktien zu einem Subskriptionspreis von CHF 79 je Aktie erzielt die Gesellschaft einen Bruttoerlös von CHF 856 Mio. Die gleichzeitig emittierte Wandelanleihe in Form von Mandatory Convertible Securities bringt der Swiss Life Holding zusätzliche Mittel von CHF 250 Mio ein.

Die definitiven Konditionen der Wandelanleihe wurden gestern festgelegt und von Credit Suisse First Boston veröffentlicht. Nach dem Liberierungsdatum der zugeteilten Mandatory Convertible Securities am 19. Dezember 2002 wird Swiss Life Holding mehr als 5% eigene Aktien halten. Damit sind unter anderem die Wandelrechte für den Umtausch von Mandatory Convertible
Securities in Swiss Life Holding-Aktien gedeckt.

Mit der Kapitalerhöhung sind die Voraussetzungen erfüllt, um die Neuausrichtung der Swiss Life Holding konsequent voranzutreiben und das Unternehmen zurück auf die Erfolgsstrasse zu bringen. Dazu CEO Rolf Dörig: „Die Kapitalerhöhung ist für uns ein eindrücklicher Vertrauens-beweis. Die gestärkte Finanzsituation erlaubt es uns, die neue Strategie zielstrebig umzusetzen und die Performance der Swiss Life-Gruppe nachhaltig zu verbessern. Ein erster Meilenstein auf dem Weg zurück an die europäische Spitze der Lebensversicherer ist damit gesetzt.“
