Swiss Life/Rentenanstalt established a 25% participation in Camco Holding, by way of a capital increase. Through its operating entity Camco AG, the company manages around CHF 500 Mio for high net worth clients. With this participation Swiss Life/Rentenanstalt gains access to the rapidly growing segment of independent asset managers and thereby realises another part of its private banking strategy.
Camco plans, on the basis of this capital increase to integrate additional independent asset managers and individual portfolio managers into their network. This will result in a rapid growth of assets under management and profitability. Camco has unique administrative platform and back-office solutions as well as an organisational structure which are geared towards the needs of independent asset managers.
Camco, with presence in Zurich and Geneva was founded in 1991 by its present executives Benoît Demeulemeester und Emanuele Pignatelli. It employs around a dozen staff and achieved an annual growth rate of assets under management of over 30%.
