Swiss Life/Rentenanstalt's Board of Directors appointed Michael Koller, Dr. math ETH, (37) as Head of the newly established Asset and Liability Management, Actuary and Reinsurance Division. He will be a Member of the Corporate Executive Board as on October 1st, 2001.
By appointing Michael Koller, actuary SAA and Swiss certified pension fund expert, Swiss Life/Rentenanstalt's Board of Directors decided to subdivide the responsibilities of the Corporate Executive Board. Asset and liability management as well as group actuarial services and reinsurance were part of the Finance and Risk Management
Division up to date. By establishing a new division, Swiss Life/Rentenanstalt has taken account of the growing significance of these functions.
Michael Koller (37) completed his studies at the federal institute of technology in
Zurich in 1993 with a doctorate in mathematics. Thereafter, he worked for Swiss Life/Rentenanstalt in various functions, including the function of Chief Actuary, which he held up to the present. Michael Koller is a member of various professional committees and the author of a variety of publications. Furthermore, he is a lecturer for life insurance mathematics at the federal institute of technology in Zurich. He is married and the father of two daughters.
