The general shareholders’ meeting of Banca del Gottardo, which was held in Lugano on 29 April, appointed two new members to the Board of Directors: Dr. Felix R. Ehrat, Senior Partner of Zurich-based law firm Bär & Karrer, and Reto Himmel, Chief Technology Officer and Member of the Corporate Executive Board of Swiss Life. Dr. Ehrat will take over as Chairman from Claudio Generali, who has decided to step down from this important role after 15 years at the Bank’s helm. The Board of Directors will now comprise seven members.
The shareholders’ meeting also approved the proposed dividend payment of CHF 60 million.
