Swiss Life is overall winner of the 2005 "bAV-Award" for occupational pension products by the Dortmund international trade fair for the finance and insurance Industry (DKM), Germany’s largest trade fair for this sector.
A survey of finance and insurance brokers placed Swiss Life at the top, ahead of Allianz and Nürnberger. In the category for providers of occupational pension solutions, Swiss Life was awarded first place for both direct insurance and direct commitment, as well as third place for both pension funds and support funds. The insurance companies were evaluated for criteria such as quality, reliability, image and support for brokers.
The telephone survey of finance and insurance brokers was carried out by the Wickert Institute in Hildesheim, Germany, on behalf of bbg Betriebsberatungs GmbH in Bayreuth, Germany. The object of the study was to find out how brokers rated the occupational pension products offered by individual insurance companies, the products' current sales and their success factors. In addition, the companies learned whether their own occupational pension product strategies were being implemented successfully or if corrective measures in respect of product, service or quality should be initiated. The results of the survey were then taken into consideration in deciding the winner of the occupational pension products award.

Last year, brokers voted Swiss Life one of the best providers of occupational disability insurance and occupational pension products in Germany. The company won first prize for the best fund in the pension vehicles category (methods of implementing pension plans).
The bAV-Awards were first conferred in 2003, when Swiss Life was took the prize for best provider of occupational pension products in the German market. The company also won first place for best direct commitment in the pension vehicles category.
