The security of your data is very important to us.

At Swiss Life, the confidential treatment of customer data is central to our operations, and we accordingly give the security of such information top priority, protecting our systems and the customer data they manage with cutting-edge security measures.

The controls deployed by Swiss Life are restricted to its own systems and do not extend to our customers’ devices. You are ultimately responsible for the security of your device (e.g. with the use of active and up-to-date anti-virus protection). For this reason, you the end user play an important role in dealing with such risks as virus attacks via y e-mails or websites, unauthorised access to your PC/Notebook and inducement to confide information (so-called phishing).

Swiss Life periodically contacts its customers by various means, including e-mail, the post and telephone.

Swiss Life will never do the following when making such contact:

  • Request that you reveal your access data (login information/passwords) for online systems or for your private work stations.
  • Request by telephone that you reveal personal information (e.g. health data, current salary, your customer relationship with Swiss Life, details of insurance policies and their expiry date/capital, banking arrangements) without first obtaining your personal agreement.

If you have any doubts or suspicions concerning a telephone contact, explain to the caller that you do not wish to provide any information and that you will contact your Swiss Life customer advisor directly.

It is important to know that we only exchange business information by e-mail if we have first agreed such a process.
