On Wednesday 24 October, HR professionals gathered in order to award the title of “Best HR Manager of the Year” and hand over the “HR Awards 2007”. Swiss Life in Luxembourg was once more honoured with the “Best Pension Solutions Award”.
The HR awards 2007 were distributed at the end of the annual HR conference organised at the Hémicycle in Luxembourg-Kirchberg. This year, no less than 18 awards were given to the competing companies.

This year, Swiss Life was once again singled out in the pension solutions category, by gaining one third of the votes and getting ahead of the other nominated companies Dexia Insurance & Pensions Services and Foyer Vie.

“We are very pleased indeed – as we have been in each of the past four years - to receive this award, which so clearly demonstrates your trust,” said Pierre Dubru, Employee Benefits Director. “In 2007, we ran a survey of our customers in order to identify their expectations even more clearly. So we are looking forward to continuing to develop our products and services further in 2008.”

As far as the Best Pension Solutions Award is concerned, HR professionals had to pronounce themselves on the following assessment criteria: the technical quality of the interlocutors, the flexibility of the offered solutions, the clarity of the follow-up, the range of administration tools and the support to the HR Director for the in-house integration of a group insurance.

In the afternoon, HR professionals had the opportunity to attend the annual conference, opening with a speech by Mr François Biltgen, Luxembourg Minister of Labour and Employment, and followed by a presentation given by Neil Roden, Group HR Director of Royal Bank of Scotland. HR personalities also exchanged their views during round tables on the topics of talent shortage, employer branding and diversity management. To end the afternoon, the 700 HR professionals present at the conference were invited to attend a networking cocktail.
