For 4 years, the HR Awards have honoured outstanding professionals and companies providing services in the field of human resources. In 2006, Luxembourg HR professionals singled out Swiss Life’s pension solutions for the fourth consecutive year.

On 24 October, the names of the HR Manager of the Year and of the winners of the Luxembourg HR Awards 2006 were revealed during a dinner, which gathered together more than 300 human resources professionals. Similar to the previous 4 years a total of 12 prizes were awarded to the providers of the best services to human resources professionals of Luxembourg companies.

The technical quality of the interlocutors, the flexibility of the offered solutions, the clarity of the follow-up and the range of administration tools, and the support of the HR Director for the in-house integration of a group insurance were the assessment criteria which the voters had to use to award a company for its "Best Pension Solutions". Nominated together with Dexia Insurance & Pensions Services and Fortis Luxembourg Life, Swiss Life obtained, for the 4th consecutive year, the majority of the votes from some 145 companies.

For the 2006 edition, the rules relating to the application to, and the vote for, the HR Awards had been redefined, with an obligation for candidates to supply an application file and the organisation of secured on-line votes limited to one vote per company.

“Once again, the numerous voters chose this year to renew their confidence in our group insurance solutions. We want to continue our developments to further satisfy our clients while focusing permanently on quality and innovation," said Patrick Schols, CEO, Swiss Life in Luxembourg.

The handing-over of the HR Awards was preceded by a high level conference, marked by an opening speech by Mr François Biltgen, Luxembourg Minister of Labour and Employment. The presentation was given by Ernst Baumann, Human Resources & Industrial Relations Director, BMW Group. A round table was also organised, gathering personalities of the HR profession, around the topics of the outsourcing, the recruitment, and the benchmarking of Luxembourg HR practices towards international references.

Close to 600 HR professionals gathered at the conference and the following networking cocktail.
