On 7 October, the Luxembourg HR community gathered for the annual HR One Conference, a half-day programme on human resources-related subjects, closing with a gala dinner.

The gala dinner is the occasion when HR personalities and consultants are rewarded for their work. Swiss Life was once again elected “Best Pension Solutions” provider by a jury of 50 human resources managers. These were selected from across the many different sectors of the employment market in Luxembourg: industry, the public sector, finance, services, building and civil engineering, retail, transport and logistics.

The awards were made using different assessment criteria such as professionalism, innovation, business ethics and added value. The “Best Pension Solutions Award” assessment criteria also included the quality of the back office and reporting.

This award has been presented to Swiss Life every year since 2003. Nevertheless, “this year’s award has special meaning for Swiss Life,” said Tanguy Polet, Chief Executive Officer of Swiss Life in Luxembourg. “It demonstrates the unwavering trust the Luxembourg HR community has in us, which is even more valuable in the current economic climate and in a year when we set up our new organisation at Swiss Life. This award encourages us to pursue our efforts to further satisfy our clients and to be the first partner of choice for corporate solutions.”

Earlier in the afternoon during a round table, Tanguy Polet took the opportunity to stress the growing importance of supplementary pension schemes in the context of increased competition between employers and at a time when public pension systems have demonstrated their limitations.
