NTUC Income of Singapore received two important awards in May from the Singapore Insurance Brokers' Association, the SIBA.
Members of the SIBA have awarded NTUC Income the title: “Best Claims Service Insurance Company of the Year (ASEAN) 2008”. In order to determine the award-winner, members of the brokers’ association used the following criteria: timely claims settlement; flexibility with difficult claims; positively seeking to pay claims rather than denying them; and providing adequate claims information for renewals and claims control advice.
NTUC Income was also voted first runner-up for the award for the Best Insurance Company of the Year (ASEAN) 2008, which recognises exceptional levels of performance in all business areas.
NTUC Income's interaction with SIBA members is mainly in the areas of group employee benefits and commercial lines; the company has made significant efforts to work more closely with brokers on employee benefits in the recent past.
