As was approved by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting of Swiss Life Holding Ltd on 7 May 2009, a dividend of CHF 5 per share will be paid for the 2008 financial year. The dividend distribution will take the form of a repayment of par value, as in previous years.
The key date for determining the entitled shareholders is 24 July 2009. The payout to shareholders will take place free of charge on 27 July 2009 (ex date). The par value per registered share will then come to CHF 12.

The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of 7 May 2009 also authorised the Board of Directors to cancel the shares (3 003 500) bought back through a second trading line as part of the share buyback programme. The number of fully paid shares thus amounts to 32 081 054.

Following the reduction in par value and the share cancellation as part of the share buyback programme, Swiss Life Holding Ltd’s share capital, as stated in the Articles of Association and entered in the Commercial Register, stands at CHF 384 972 648.
