Patrick Frost grew up predominantly in Basel. He studied natural science at the ETH in Zurich (Dipl. Natw.), economics at the University of Basel (Dr. and lic. rer. pol.) and law at the University of Zurich (lic. iur.). He began his professional career in 1996 in asset management at the former Winterthur Group. From 2006 to 2024, he was a Member of the Corporate Executive Board of Swiss Life, initially as Group Chief Investment Officer and, from 2014 to 2024, as Group CEO. In addition, he was active on various bodies, including as a Member of the Board of Directors at PostFinance and as a board member at economiesuisse, the Zurich Chamber of Commerce, the Zurich Economic Society, avenir suisse and the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce.
